Living Prophet

What a beautiful day was today, we had the opportunity to listen to the living prophet and other leaders of the church. Some of the very highlights of the day for me were:

-President Monson- urging us to pray for the countries that are currently closed to the preaching of the gospel and the announcement of 5 new temples including a temple in the greater Kansas City area :)
-Elder Perry- Talking about Walden Pond and the spiritual benefits of a simplified lifestyle (a message that I definitely need)
-Elder Uchtdorf- The importance of hope, especially in these latter days
-Elder Christofferson- establishing Zion, have we overcome envying? I also loved what He said about how we can measure a society by how well they take care of their poor? Are we taking care of our poor?
-Elder Bednard- Prayer becomes natural when we understand our relationship with the Father

This picture was taken at a previous date but it is such a sweet picture of President Monson and his beloved Wife.
